Baby Steps

Finn and Harper have made some great progress these past two days!  They both have "graduated" from their phototherapy so we had to pack up the sunglasses and turn off the lights.  Now they get to cozy up in their dark little beds, all swaddled in their blankets and snooze away.  It's very cute...

Also, they both were turned down on their respiratory support to CPAP 4...if they do well here for a few days they may be off the breathing apparatus altogether!  Then we'll get to see their sweet faces all the time.  We are very excited about this mini milestone : )

Isn't she sweet?

And the final mini achievement that we're celebrating is that they are both continuing to up their feeding amounts...Finley is now downing a tablespoon of milk 8 times a day and what's amazing is it takes them a full hour to eat even that tiny of an amount!

So lots of little blessings to be thankful for today...and many more to come!

  1. Allie and Greg, this is so wonderful and beautiful! God is showing everyone his ability to perform miracles before our eyes. Matt and I continue to keep your family in our prayers and EVERY time we pass the hospital, which is EVERY day, we think of you.

  2. I can't believe how much progress they've made in 2 weeks! It's amazing and I couldn't be happier for you! Only 2 weeks old and they've had their first graduation! We should get them miniature caps and gowns!

  3. So glad to see they are doing so well! Very precious. And excited to see that they were born on my birthday! Sounds like you have lots of great people to help you (I love Dr. Freitag!) and, of course, God is watching over all. Blessings and continued progress to you all!

  4. It is wonderful to hear how well both Finn & Harper are doing! Praises to God for answered prayers each day. Allie and Greg, you are AWESOME parents and you are doing such an amazing job as the head of their "team". Your two little ones are so blessed to have you for their parents, just as you are blessing by them.

Prayers will continue for all. Bob & Peggy Swenson
